MAN OF GOD!!!

WHEN I MET MY HUSBAND 4 YEARS AGO, I HAD NO INTENTION OF GETTING MARRIED OR HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM OR ANYONE ELSE.  I WAS FINISHED WITH MEN FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN FRIENDSHIP.  I WAS MARRIED TO MY JOB, I THOUGHT MY LIFE WAS COMPLETE.  

FROM ALL OUTWARD APPEARANCES, I HAD THE WORLD BY THE TAIL, I WAS MAKING $75k A YEAR  AS A MANAGER AT A NATIONALLY KNOWN AUTO PARTS CORPORATION, MY STORE WAS DOING VERY WELL, I DIDN’T OWE A DIME ON MY HOUSE OR VEHICLE, I WAS COMPLETELY DEBT FREE AND SPENT MONEY LIKE THERE WAS NO TOMORROW. 

MY ONLY TRUE JOY WAS GIVING TO OTHERS AND HAVING MY DAUGHTER, SON IN LAW AND MY GRAND DAUGHTER LIVING WITH ME.  WE CALLED OURSELVES “TEAM ROSENBLATT” (THEIR LAST NAME).  I WAS BEYOND BLESSED  AND GRATEFUL THAT THEY INCLUDED ME ALWAYS AND I WAS NEVER MADE TO FEEL  LIKE A THIRD WHEEL.

THE TRUTH IS… I  DID NOT HAVE THE WORLD BY THE TAIL, I WAS BROKEN TO THE CORE, BUT I HAD MOST BELIEVING THE OPPOSITE.  PERFECT SMILE, MAKE UP, HAIR AND CLOTHES ON THE OUTSIDE, YET DYING ON THE INSIDE…

WHEN I MET CHICO, HE SAW STRAIGHT THROUGH MY FACADE AND I DID NOT LIKE IT.  NO ONE HAD EVER HAD THE GUMPTION TO CALL ME OUT ON THAT BEFORE.

CHICO LIVES HIS LIFE, CALLING IT LIKE HE SEES IT, HE IS VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD.  I TELL HIM HE HAS NO FILTER; HOWEVER FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO HEAR THE TRUTH, IT WORKS OUT GREAT.  KIND OF LIKE THE APOSTLE PAUL, IF HE THOUGHT IT OR WAS LED BY THE SPIRIT TO SAY IT, OH WELL, IT’S YOUR PROBLEM IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT.  SAME WITH  CHICO.   2 Corinthians 7:9  Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.  2 Corinthians 7:10  For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.  2 Corinthians 7:11   For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. 

EVERYONE HAS A DIFFERENT CALLING IN LIFE.  BOLDNESS IS ONE OF CHICO’S GIFTS, BOLDNESS IN ALL ASPECTS OF LIFE, BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST; HE BOLDLY STANDS FOR THE TRUTH IN GOD’S WORD.  WHEN HE IS SHARING THE WORD OF GOD AND PEOPLE DISAGREE WITH GOD’S WRITTEN WORD, HE SAYS, “THEY AREN’T DISAGREEING WITH ME, BUT DISAGREEING WITH GOD, THE CREATOR OF EVERYTHING”!!!  

WHEN WE MET, I DIDN’T KNOW THE WORD OF GOD VERY WELL, OTHER THAN WHAT I HAD LEARNED GOING TO MULTIPLE CHURCHES THAT I HAD ATTENDED AND WHAT LITTLE READING I DID ON MY OWN.  HOWEVER, I THOUGHT THAT I WAS A SOLD OUT SOLDIER FOR JESUS CHRIST BECAUSE AFTER ALL, I DID GO TO CHURCH FAITHFULLY, ALWAYS HAD MY BIBLE IN THE CAR,  I TITHED WAY MORE THAN 10%, I WOULD GIVE ANYONE THE SHIRT OFF OF MY BACK AND WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HELP THE NEEDY!!! 

AS I THINK BACK, HOW COULD I HAVE EVER BELIEVED THAT I WAS SOLD OUT FOR JESUS WHEN I DIDN’T EVEN STAND UP TO DEFEND WHAT SMALL AMOUNT OF TRUTH THAT I KNEW ABOUT THE BIBLE.  I NEVER HESITATED TO TELL PEOPLE THAT I WAS A CHRISTIAN, BUT I WAS AFRAID OF WHAT PEOPLE WOULD THINK OF ME IF I WAS STANDING UP FOR THE WORD OF GOD. I WAS POLITICALLY CORRECT, NOT BIBLICALLY CORRECT.  Luke 9:26  For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father’s, and of the holy angels.  I WAS ASHAMED TO STAND UP FOR WHAT IS RIGHT, “THE TRUTH, JESUS CHRIST” AND WHAT IS RIGHT IN GOD’S WORD.  Acts 5:29  … We ought to obey God rather than men.  

I WAS OPENLY SUPPORTIVE OF MY GAY NEPHEW’S LIFESTYLE, HANGING OUT WITH HIM AND HIS BOYFRIENDS, LISTENING TO THEIR INSANITY WITH EXCITEMENT.  I ASSOCIATED, OUTSIDE OF WORK, WITH COWORKERS WHO ARE STILL ATHEISTS AND OTHER NON BELIEVING RELIGIONS; WITH PEOPLE WHO WERE ANGERED BY THE MENTION OF THE PRECIOUS NAME OF JESUS.  I CONDONED THE LIFESTYLES AND ACCEPTED ALMOST ANYTHING WORLDLY,  I WAS JUST LIVING THE WORLD’S WAY.  2 John 1:9   Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.  2 John 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:  2 John 1:11   For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.  James 4:4  … know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 

Mark 12:24  … Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?   Matthew 22:29  Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. 

BEFORE I MET CHICO, I WOULD PICK UP THE BIBLE AND SAY, GOD WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO READ TODAY???  I WOULD THEN THUMB THROUGH THE PAGES AND WHEREVER MY FINGERS LANDED WOULD BE MY READING FOR THAT DAY…. 

AFTER I MET CHICO, I HAD A GREAT DESIRE TO KNOW THE WORD OF GOD FOR MYSELF.  I LEARNED THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO ACCOMPLISH THAT GOAL, THAT’S TO READ THE WORD OF GOD FOR YOURSELF, OUT LOUD, THE ENTIRETY OF THE NEW TESTAMENT.  WHY THE NEW TESTAMENT ONLY???  BECAUSE WE ARE UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, NOT THE OLD.

SO I BEGAN MY JOURNEY, READING THE WORD OF GOD FOR MYSELF, I STARTED GETTING REVELATION KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT RIGHT AWAY, WHICH WAS VERY EXCITING.  JESUS CHANGED ME IN A LOT OF AREAS IN MY LIFE, I WAS NOW TRULY HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST.

YET THERE WERE MANY VERSES IN THE BIBLE THAT I REFUSED TO ACCEPT BECAUSE OF MY WORLDLY CONDITIONING.   Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 

CHICO AND I HAD SO MANY ARGUMENTS BECAUSE I REFUSED TO BELIEVE THE TRUTH, A PRIME EXAMPLE OF THIS WAS THAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS THIS, 1 John 3:23  And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.  I REFUSED TO BELIEVE THAT THIS DIDN’T INCLUDE LOVING EVERYONE IN THE WORLD.   EVEN THOUGH I KNEW THESE VERSES:  1 John 3:8   He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.  1 John 3:9  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 3:10   “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil”:

“whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother”.  1 John 3:11  For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.   I STILL ARGUED WITH CHICO, TELLING HIM HE WASN’T WALKING IN LOVE. I STILL BELIEVED THE LIE OF THE DEVIL.

APPROXIMATELY A YEAR INTO OUR RELATIONSHIP, I FINALLY GOT REVELATION KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH, CHICO WAS RIGHT AND I WAS WRONG. WE ARE SUPPOSED TO LOVE OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN CHRIST JESUS, NOT THE WHOLE WORLD.  I WROTE THE ABOVE LINK AFTER I FINALLY BELIEVED THE TRUTH.

WE HAD ANOTHER ARGUMENT REGULARLY,  BECAUSE I DIDN’T UNDERSTAND THIS SCRIPTURE EITHER, 1 Corinthians 2:15  But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.  I THOUGHT CHICO WAS BEING SELF RIGHTEOUS AND ELEVATING HIMSELF ABOVE EVERYONE, AGAIN, I WAS WRONG.  WHEN YOU TRULY RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT AND KNOW THE WORD OF GOD, YOU HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST,  1 Corinthians 2:16  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.  SO THE JUDGEMENT SPOKEN OF, IS JUDGING ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD. 

Ephesians 4:21  If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:  Ephesians 4:22  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;  Ephesians 4:23  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  Ephesians 4:24  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.  JESUS NEVER GAVE UP ON ME AND NEITHER DID CHICO.

ONCE I REALIZED THE UNPOPULAR TRUTH, I STARTED PREACHING THE TRUTH… I PERSECUTED CHICO FOR THE TRUTH, NOW I AM PERSECUTED BY OTHERS WHO HAVE THE WORLD’S SPIRIT, INSTEAD OF GOD’S TRUTH.  Proverbs 16:25  There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.   John 15:20  Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.   John 15:18  If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  1 John 3:13   Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you. 

PREACHING THE TRUE GOSPEL OPPOSES THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD.  THE RELIGIOUS PEOPLE OF THAT DAY KILLED JESUS BECAUSE HE BROUGHT A DOCTRINE THAT OPPOSED ALL RELIGIONS!!!    John 7:16  Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.  1 Corinthians 2:12   Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

I AM SO BLESSED TO HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH IN JESUS CHRIST AND MORE BLESSED TO HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM, Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 

TODAY, I AM SO GRATEFUL TO BE MARRIED TO A MAN OF GOD THAT DOES NOT COMPROMISE THE WORD OF GOD, “THE TRUTH” FOR ANYTHING OR ANYONE.  I AM A STUBBORN PERSON, GOD KNEW IT WOULD TAKE A FORMER MARINE SARGEANT TO CONTEND WITH ME UNTIL I RECEIVED THE TRUTH BY REVELATION KNOWLEDGE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.   John 14:26   But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  John 16:13   Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 

 1 John 2:27  But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.  1 John 5:6  This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

I NEEDED CHICO, A MAN OF GOD IN MY LIFE,  TO FULFIL GOD’S PURPOSE FOR ME IN LIFE.  WE ARE THE POWERHOUSE THAT GOD INTENDED FOR US TO BE TOGETHER.  WE BOTH HAVE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES, WHICH COMPLIMENTS THE OTHERS’ STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES.  WE ARE ONE FLESH. 

I AM NO LONGER THAT BROKEN PERSON THAT FOLLOWS THE WORLD’S BELIEFS.  I AM A STRONG WOMAN OF GOD WHO KNOWS AND STANDS BOLDLY FOR THE TRUTH IN GOD’S WORD.  I KNOW THAT  Acts 5:29 … We ought to obey God rather than men.  James 4:4  … know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. 

I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU TODAY, HOW CAN YOU HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH AND MARRY SOMEONE THAT YOU HAVE NEVER MET; IS ONE CAPABLE OF HAVING A RELATIONSHIP THROUGH HEARSAY???  CERTAINLY NOT!!! 

THAT’S HOW IT IS WITH MANY PEOPLE IN THESE LAST DAYS, THAT IS CERTAINLY HOW I USED TO BE.  I TOOK WHATEVER I HEARD ABOUT JESUS AND BELIEVED IT. 

WE, THE BRIDE OF CHRIST, THE BODY OF CHRIST, THE CHURCH NEED TO KNOW WHO WE PLAN TO SPEND ETERNITY WITH.  IF IT DOESN’T HAPPEN BEFORE THE RAPTURE OF THE BRIDE OF CHRIST.  IT WILL BE TOO LATE…

Luke 4:18  The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
