CAN YOU CONTINUE IN SIN AFTER YOU ARE SAVED?

THE WORD OF GOD ASKS A QUESTION IN  Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? {DEFINITION FOR THE WORD ABOUND, ACCORDING TO THE STRONG’S CONCORDANCE: 1) to superabound a) of things 1) to exist in abundance 2) to increase 3) be augmented 2) to make to increase: one in a thing Authorized Version (KJV) Translation Count — Total: 9 AV — abound 6, abundant 1, have over 1, make to increase}

Romans 6:2 God forbid. {DEFINITION FOR THE WORDS “GOD FORBID”, ACCORDING TO THE STRONG’S CONCORDANCE: 1) no, not lest Authorized Version (KJV) Translation Count — Total: 673 AV — not 486, no 44, that not 21, God forbid + 1096 15, lest 14, neither 7, no man + 5100 6, but 3, none 3, not translated 51, misc 23 }

Romans 6:2 (CONTINUED) How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? GOD’S ANSWER IS VERY SIMPLE, (“GOD forbid”, MEANS “YOU CAN NOT, BECAUSE GOD WILL NOT ALLOW IT”).

READ THE QUESTION AGAIN: HOW SHALL WE THAT ARE DEAD TO SIN; LIVE ANY LONGER IN SIN, IF YOU ARE DEAD TO SIN??? THE ANSWER IS: YOU CAN NOT, BECAUSE YOU ARE “DEAD TO SIN”!!!

WHEN A PERSON DIES HERE ON EARTH, HE OR SHE IS DEAD!!! THEY CAN’T LIVE ON EARTH ANY LONGER!!! IN THE SAME WAY, WHEN A PERSON IS “DEAD TO SIN”, HE OR SHE CAN’T LIVE IN SIN, ANY LONGER!!!

JESUS CAME TO DIE FOR OUR SINS, THAT HE MAY…..Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

QUESTION: IF JESUS CAME TO TAKE AWAY OUR SINS; AND “HE DID”, THEN WHO ARE WE OR ANYONE ELSE TO SAY THAT WE CAN CONTINUE IN SIN???

ANSWER: GOD’S WORD SAYS WE CAN NOT!!! AMEN!!!

  • 1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
  • Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.

SO IF JESUS CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH AND MADE US IN HIS LIKENESS, THEN WE TOO, ARE WITHOUT SIN!!! PERIOD!!!

IF YOU SAY OR BELIEVE THAT YOU STILL SIN, THEN “YOU” MAKE GOD A LIAR !! 1 John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Hebrews 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

WHEN WE ARE BORN AGAIN; BY ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS LORD AND SAVIOR, WE DIE TO SIN!!!

  • Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged {DEFINITION FOR THE WORD PURGED ACCORDING TO THE STRONG’S CONCORDANCE: 1) a cleansing, purification, a ritual purgation or washing a) of the washing of the Jews before and after their meals b) of levitical purification of women after childbirth c) a cleansing from the guilt of sins wrought by the expiatory sacrifice of Christ Authorized Version (KJV) Translation Count — Total: 7 AV — cleansing 2, purifying 2, be purged 1, purge + 4060 1, purification 1} our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
  • 1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation {DEFINITION FOR THE WORD PROPTIATION ACCORDING TO THE STRONG’S CONCORDANCE: 1) an appeasing, propitiating 2) the means of appeasing, a propitiation Authorized Version (KJV) Translation Count — Total: 2 AV — propitiation 2} for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
  • 1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
  • Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.
  • Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
  • Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
  • Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
  • Luke 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission {DEFINITION FOR THE WORD REMISSION ACCORDING TO THE STRONG’S CONCORDANCE: 1) release from bondage or imprisonment 2) forgiveness or pardon, of sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed), remission of the penalty Authorized Version (KJV) Translation Count — Total: 17 AV — remission 9, forgiveness 6, deliverance 1, liberty 1} of their sins,
  • Luke 3:3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;
  • Luke 5:20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
  • Luke 5:21 (b) Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
  • 1 John 2:12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.
  • Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
  • Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
  • Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
  • Hebrews 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
  • Hebrews 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

2 Peter 1: 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
12
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth. 13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God .

GO AND SIN NO MORE!!! AMEN!!!

God Bless,
Chico and Debbie
