ARE WE WALKING IN LOVE??
We all know that Charity in the following scriptures means Love!! We lead by example with “OUR WALK with the LORD”!! If we are not being patient and kind; then, we aren’t walking in LOVE!! Are we showing the GRACE and MERCY that JESUS showed us by Dying on the CROSS for US because he LOVES US??
1 Corinthians 13: 1-8
1 “Though I” speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and “have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal”.
2 And “though I” have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and “have not charity, I am nothing”.
3 And “though I” bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and “have not charity, it profiteth me nothing”.
4 “Charity suffereth long”, and is “kind”; “charity envieth not”; “charity vaunteth not itself”, is not puffed up,
5 “Doth not behave itself unseemly”, “seeketh not her own”, “is not easily provoked”, “thinketh no evil”;
6 “Rejoiceth not in iniquity”, but “rejoiceth in the truth”;
7 “Beareth all things”, “believeth all things”, “hopeth all things”, “endureth all things”.
8 “Charity never faileth”: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
13 And now abideth faith, hope, “charity”, these three; but the “greatest of these is charity”.
2 Corinthians 6: 3-7
3 “Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed”:
4 But “in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience”, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;
6 By pureness, by knowledge, “by longsuffering”, “by kindness”, by the Holy Ghost, “by love unfeigned”,
7 By the word of truth, “by the power of God”, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
1 Corinthians 4: 17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.
18 Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.
19 But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them which are puffed up, but the power.
20 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.
21 What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness? Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, Ephesians 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Ephesians 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; 1 Thessalonians 3:12 And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: 1 Thessalonians 5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
As Disciples for Christ if we have the gift of prophecy, understand all mysteries, have knowledge, have all faith, can remove mountains and feed the poor and aren’t walking in LOVE what kind of fruit are we producing?? How can WE PREACH the GOSPEL of OUR LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, if we don’t walk in LOVE and KINDNESS?? I pray that this opens the eyes of those who need it, if it’s not for you then please share it with someone that needs to see it!! God BLESS!!
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!!!
